We missed you!
You may have noticed that you haven’t heard from us since January, when we let you know that we’d be sending out fewer newsletters this year so we can focus our resources on working with the amazing businesses we’re excited to serve. That focus, for us, has really paid off, as we’ve been able to even further define, tweak, and develop the services we provide, and the support we give our outstanding team.
Speaking of our outstanding team, you may have noticed that we happen to be a women-owned and women-led business, so International Women’s Day (March 8) is one we celebrate with abandon! Each year, we share photos of our whole team in a collage based on the IWD theme, which this year is BreaktheBias:
Our CEO, Julia, also spoke on a panel with the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce on March 8th with a number of other amazing women leaders from the Metro Vancouver area. We are thrilled to be a part of this important movement and we hope you found a way to celebrate all the excellent women in your life.
One of the excellent women in our lives is our own Balanced Slayer, LaDawn, who is sharing a day in her life with you this month. An active cat-mother and yogi, LaDawn really walks her talk when it comes to achieving balance, building healthy activities, fostering her relationships, increasing her knowledge, and working with the clients we all love here at Admin Slayer into an incredibly fulfilling life. She takes her days both seriously and lightly, and we know you’ll enjoy getting to know LaDawn better, right here.
If you’re not experiencing the same kind of balance in your own life, it’s worth questioning how collaboration is working - or not working - in your business. Collaboration is hard enough to begin with, and with the current high levels of stress and polarization, it may feel like it’s getting even harder. Adam Kahane, a global leader in the art and science of systemic change, talks with Forbes about removing obstacles and increasing collaboration. Read it here.
We’ll be back with another update for you in June. In the meantime, please remember your friendly neighbourhood administrators on Administrative Professionals’ Day, Wednesday, April 27. Drop by our social media accounts (linked below) at the end of April as well, when we’ll be celebrating our professionals all week long!
Find us on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. We can’t wait to hear from you!
