We keep hearing that Admin Slayer was made for times like these, and we mostly agree. In lots of ways, our remote team is better equipped than many to juggle all the balls that have been thrown at us since March 2020.
Realistically, however, no one was really made for times like these. A global pandemic wasn’t exactly a thing anyone was prepared for, no matter how practiced we are at working remotely. It’s stressful and weird for everyone.
We’re really proud of our team of slayers, who are rocking and rolling through this time of crisis by banding closer together, and really supporting each other. As we’ve mentioned in our resilience articles, you can’t take care of anyone else until you take care of yourself, and our team is doing just that, so that we can support each other, and better support you.
Since the outbreak started hitting small businesses hard, we’ve made ourselves as adaptable and adjustable as possible so that we can help you survive and thrive, despite everything. We are there for the businesses we support, no matter how much or how little we are needed. We’re also there for those folks who have one-off, or short-term projects that must be completed as professionally as possible under what we hope are temporary pressures. Feel free to contact us if you or someone you know needs a hand - we have many!
We’ve built a COVID-19 Resources page, and are updating it regularly with curated, useful information covering remote work, crisis management, and free resources. We’ve also written a few key pieces on how to take care of you, your team, and your business, including some thoughts on cybersecurity, and juggling that whole working-and-parenting thing (the very first article written by Morgan, our Purposeful Slayer!).
If you’re following us on social media (please do!), you’ll have seen that we are sharing our 2019 series on resilience, since right now is exactly when we need the tools to adapt well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, or stress. We invite you to revisit these when you need a little bit of a pressure release.
Our 2020 series of case studies demonstrate all of that resilience in practice, with real stories of businesses (carefully renamed and smudged up so their privacy is protected) we’ve helped strengthen over the years.
In February, we introduced you to Samantha, a financial advisor focused on high-touch customer service. She’s not drowning in follow ups anymore, and her clients feel well taken care of - even today, when the markets are so uncertain.
In March, we brought you Adam, a social-media savvy realtor with a successful system that was becoming more than he could handle. Even now, when he must keep a 6 foot distance, he’s still in touch with his clients, and still selling homes.
This month, we’re talking about Nathan, a wealth coach and insurance advisor who was a bit freaked out by technology, but so overwhelmed with travel bookings, task management, and documentation that he was willing to try our services. While he’s spending less time traveling these days, he’s spending a lot more time in video conferences - and his fear of technology is long gone.
Last, and never, ever least, we are excited to introduce you to Brittany, the Proactive Slayer. Brittany has been a hard-working, hands-on member of our team since September 2019. She’s a mother, a seasoned legal assistant, and an expert at just getting stuff done. She spent quite a bit of time supporting our own executive team, but we’ve decided to stop being selfish (despite our deep, deep desire) so that we can share her with you.
Wishing you safety, health, and alleviation of both stress and boredom.
