Oh how we love September at Admin Slayer. All of our business owners and slayers are back from their holidays and we are hitting the ground running.
These past few weeks have been nutty - in a great way - on our team, with lots of business owners pressing the “GO” button on strategies they’ve been noodling on throughout the summer, as well as projects, events, and campaigns that will run throughout the balance of this calendar year. Our team is working hard on catching all this new information and making processes, systems, follow ups, and much more out of it. We’re also shepherding children back to school and shaking the cobwebs out of our brains that built up over those lovely summer months.
If you’re feeling a touch overwhelmed after what we hope was some deep relaxation, know that you’re not alone. That overflowing email inbox, seemingly unattainable task list, and projects to complete on a timeline you may not even think is reasonable - so many business owners are dealing with exactly that today. Before you put your nose right back on the grindstone, though, we want to ask you: Is your business a business… or is it a JOB?
In our latest article on our 2019 theme of resilience is around exactly that. We want you to have a powerfully resilient, ongoing business - seriously, your business is our business - and we want you to work yourself out of a job. Click here to find out how.
In the short term, we also want you to get through this next set of months without exhausting yourself, so we’re bringing back an article from 2017 that we share with slayers and business owners alike: Time Blocking: Building Confidence into Your Calendar. There are few things that sap your confidence more than running out of time, and a strict adherence to time blocking is one of the things we at Admin Slayer know we can rely on to stay focused and reduce stress.
For fun, and because we know that articles about the slayers are hands down the most popular pieces of content that we provide, here’s A Day In the Life with Cheri, our Systems & Software Slayer. If you’ve ever wondered what remote work looks like in a busy house full of children, all your answers will be found here.
